Dear Franklin Sherman Families,
We hope everyone had a great long weekend. Our rescheduled Back to School Night will be Wednesday. Please see below for a detailed schedule.
Last week, we changed our lunch times in order to keep only one grade level in the cafeteria at a time. This enabled us to seat 2 children at each table with plexiglass in between. Children are now eating breakfast in the cafeteria as well. For snack times, where possible teachers are taking students outside and if snack is eaten in the classroom, children are spread out throughout the room. We appreciate your flexibility and that of our students with these adjustments to our safety and mitigation measures.

Fall Picture Day
Fall picture day will be held on Tuesday, September 14, 2021.
Please order pictures online at the Lifetouch Website. If prompted enter the Picture Day ID EVT27VZQR. Make sure that our school, Franklin Sherman Elementary School, is listed on the form when submitting your child's Name and Grade.
After ordering online there are no paper forms to bring in on picture day!

Bus Safety Information
Beginning Friday, August 27, drivers are required to increase air circulation in their vehicle by OPENING every other window (bus and van if possible) during student transport. Windows will remain OPEN during all routes and closed during the post-trip at the parking location. Window height adjustments can be made for inclement weather, such as rain. This action is out of an abundance of caution for the health and safety of students and our staff.

Schoology: Our New LMS in FCPS
Students, families, and staff throughout FCPS will use Schoology (pronounced /SKOO-luh-jee/) as our learning management system (lms).
Here is what you need to know now:
- Parents need a SIS/ParentVUE account to login to Schoology: http://bit.ly/FCPSSIS
- Use your SIS/ParentVUE login information to login to Schoology: https://lms.fcps.edu. Look for the FCPS logo to make sure you are on the right login page.
Students use their regular FCPS login information to login. Student resources for Schoology: https://www.fcps.edu/schoology/students
