Happy Monday, GBE! And welcome back to school!
I hope your students had a wonderful week and got to relax this weekend. What a huge adjustment it’s been!
I want to introduce myself, as I’m usually the one to write the weekly newsletters. My name is Sara McClung, and I’m this year’s PTA president. This is my second year as president, and I previously served as vice president and the silent auction committee chair. My daughter’s in third grade (shout out to Mrs. Donnelly--who’s already proving to be a thoughtful teacher and an empathetic human) and we’ve been a part of the GBE community for the past four years.

Picture day is coming soon! Thursday, September 9, to be exact. GBE needs volunteers that day to help the process run smoothly and safely! Full or half-day time slots are available. Please donate a few hours of your time if you’re able!

Back to School Night
This Tuesday, August 31, GBE will host a Virtual Back to School Night for families. Teachers will share information about their classrooms for families. Choose either of the session times below that works best for your schedule.
6:00-7:00 PM Session 1
7:00-8:00 PM Session 2
20-21 Memory books and yearbooks!
So this has been a one-person project and I’m having trouble getting it all organized! These are still hopefully happening, but it’s going slower than anticipated. Sorry!
