Principal's Message: 8/21/2021

Good Morning Parents and Families:

It was so wonderful to welcome back our staff, students and families in a variety of Welcome Back events this week. I definitely experienced very proud principal moments throughout this entire week, as I, along with your students, am beginning my first full year at Stone Middle School. While I know the first day brings a range of emotions from students and families, I assure you we, as a school team, will continue to do whatever we can to ensure our students feel safe and comfortable as they embark/continue on their middle school journey.

As the parent of three FCPS students, I understand the overwhelming amount of information you are trying to keep track of as you prepare for your child(ren) and this upcoming school year. While this email is lengthy with several links, I hope it provides you with what you need. Please continue to reach out to any member of the Stone admin team if you have questions, need clarification/support, or want to provide any feedback.

With feedback in mind, I will host our last virtual town hall in the month of August this Thursday 8/26 at 6:00 PM. This will be an opportunity for you to give us an update on how things have gone during the first week and ask questions. Similar to the previous town halls, a link will be sent the day of the meeting.

Again, I am so excited to welcome our students back on Monday, August 23rd for the first day of school.

Have a great weekend,
Meredith Norris, Principal
