School Opening Information
Thursday, August 19, 9:00-11:30 AM

Students only: ALL 7th Grade Students and any 8th grade students NEW to Liberty
- Transportation available from feeder schools-please be at elementary school a few minutes prior to bus departure time listed below:
- Bull Run Elementary-8:30 am
- Centreville Elementary-8:40 am
- Centre Ridge Elementary-8:40 am
- Colin Powell-8:40 am
- Union Mill Elementary-8:45 am
- You may also drop your student off in Kiss and Ride at Liberty and pick up there as well. Please do not drop off prior to 8:50 am.
- Students will follow an abbreviated schedule and meet their teachers
- Please ensure students know if they are taking bus back to elementary school and if so which one or if they are being picked up by a parent

Laptops
All students will be provided a school laptop. Computers will be distributed during the school day during the week of August 23rd.
Transportation
- Students may not enter building before 7:10 AM.
- Kiss n’ Ride-parents should enter and exit from the entrance closest to Compton Road. Please follow the signs.
- If you have not responded to the bus survey for transportation please use this link
- Bus stops and route information will be shared with families via the ParentVUE accounts on August 10. All staff and students riding a bus will be required to wear a mask. For more information about bus transportation, including how to access the Bus Delay Notification System, visit the Transportation page. Transportation will load that information in SIS Student and ParentVUE under Student Info > Transportation. You can only see this information if you log on via the website, not the app.

Bell Schedule
We will be implementing a new bell schedule for the 2021-2022 school year. We will send the bell schedule as soon as we get approval from FCPS. The school day will start at 7:30 AM and end at 2:15 PM.

- Live Session at 6:30 PM (session will be recorded)
- All teacher presentations, syllabus, curriculum info will be pre-recorded and shared virtually
Lunch
All students may receive one (1) no-cost breakfast and one (1) no-cost lunch meal each school day. This never-before implemented benefit combined with all students returning to school buildings has the potential to significantly increase participation in the meal programs. Menus, allergens, and nutrition information are all available online at https://fcps.nutrislice.com/menu/.
Students should bring a water bottle with them to school which can be refilled at hydration stations. Students will not be permitted to drink from water fountains.
Students will have the opportunity to eat lunch outside in designated areas (weather permitting).
