Beginning of Year Forms
All forms will remain electronic this school year. There will be no large parent packet of forms. You are welcome to bring any hard copies to open house on 8/20, drop them off at the front office or send via email to Dave Troskey at datroskey@fcps.edu.
Digital Consent Form
At Chesterbrook, our teachers will use a variety of digital resources to support student learning and promote communication and collaboration with students and families. Some of the digital resources your child may use this year will require your consent before they can be used. You can find our school’s list of the resources that require parental consent here: Link to Chesterbrook Digital Resources. Additionally, you can find more information about approved digital resources in FCPS here: https://www.fcps.edu/resources/technology/digital-resources.
Included on this page is also a link to a form where the enrolling parent or guardian will need to indicate whether or not their student is allowed to use the list of digital resources this year. This page also provides more information about how FCPS carefully reviews digital resources for approval and why we must request your consent before using certain tools. We encourage you to complete the parental consent for digital resources form as soon as possible, as your child will not be able to use the digital resources until we have received your permission. Please reach out to our School Based Technology Specialist, Megan Brown, at mebrown@fcps.edu if you have questions or concerns about the digital resources we’ve chosen to use this year.
Emergency Care Form
Complete Emergency Care Card now Electronically in weCare
In ParentVUE, on August 19th, you can access the weCare module to update emergency care information and health information. Each school year parents need to verify the information in weCare for each student. We are required to have this completed at the start of each school year to meet regulations. Forms are due by August 23, 2021.
ParentVUE Access for New Families: We will work with new families this week to ensure ParentVUE access. Contact Dave Troskey in our front office if you need assistance obtaining a ParentVUE account.
Other Beginning of the Year Forms
If completing opt out forms, you may drop them off at the school or send via email to Dave Troskey at datroskey@fcps.edu.
Schoology
Students, families, and staff throughout FCPS and in our school community will use Schoology (pronounced /SKOO-luh-jee/) as our learning management system.
Here is what you need to know now:
- New to County Families will receive their ParentVUE activation code August 11th through the 13th. If you do not receive the code by then please contact the main office.
- You need a SIS/ParentVUE account to login to Schoology: http://bit.ly/FCPSSIS
- Use your SIS/ParentVUE login information to login to Schoology: https://lms.fcps.edu. Look for the FCPS logo to make sure you are on the right login page.
