Hello From Aldrin/Hola Desde Aldrin

Dear Aldrin Families,  

We wanted to take a moment to reach out to let you know we are so excited to be returning to in-person learning FIVE days per week starting August 23^rd!   This summer, we have successfully and safely provided learning opportunities, in-person, to more than 100 of our Aldrin students from Preschool to rising Sixth Grade.  The students are working hard and having some fun too.   The excitement and energy from our staff and students is contagious.  Now, we can’t wait to get the rest of our Aldrin Eagles back home. 

We need to be sure we don’t miss anyone new to our community and I’m writing to ask for your help.  At this point, we don’t believe everyone who lives in our community, and plans to attend school at Aldrin, has registered.  Please help us spread the word.   If you have a new neighbor or a new friend, and you think they should be registered at Aldrin, please ask them to give us a call ASAP or go to this link LINK to input their information and start the process.  Our phone number is 703-904-3800.   You can also forward this e-mail and link to anyone needing to submit a registration notification.  Linda Adgate, our Student Information Assistant (SIA), will reach out to them with additional information.    

Also, if you have a neighbor who homeschooled their children during the pandemic, or opted for private school last year, but plans to attend Aldrin in the fall, they also need to register now.   Even if the child attended Aldrin, or another FCPS school in the past, but left during the pandemic, the they will need to re-register.    This does not apply to students who remained virtual or hybrid at Aldrin last year. 

Please help us spread the word that it’s time to register for school.  

If you need to register a child for school, please don’t put it off another day—now’s the time to mark this off your to-do list.   Registering now will ensure we have the teachers and staff we need to maximize the support your children receive at Aldrin.    Thank you!!

Queridas familias Aldrin:  

 

¡Queremos informarles que estamos muy emocionados de volver al aprendizaje en persona, los cinco días de la semana a partir del 23 de agosto!  Este verano hemos dado exitosamente y en forma segura, clases en persona a más de 100 estudiantes de Aldrin. Desde el preescolar hasta los que van a entrar a sexto grado.  Los estudiantes se están esforzando bastante y se están divirtiendo un poco también. La energía de nuestro personal y la de los estudiantes es contagiosa. Esperamos ansiosos el retorno del resto de nuestros Aldrin Eagles. 

 

Queremos asegurarnos de que no falte nadie nuevo en la comunidad, y es por eso que les escribo para pedir su ayuda. Al parecer, no todos los que viven en la comunidad y que quieran asistir a la escuela se ha registrado para hacerlo. Por favor, ayúdenos a pasar la voz. Si tiene nuevos vecinos o amigos, y usted cree que sus hijos necesitan registrarse, por favor pídales que nos llamen lo más pronto posible, al 703-904-3800. También le puede reenviar este correo electrónico a cualquier persona que necesite registrar a sus hijos, y puedan completar el siguiente formulario de registro La señora Linda Adgate es la asistente de información de los estudiantes, y les puede dar más información. 

 

Si tiene algún/a vecino/a que les haya dado clases en casa (homeschooling) a sus hijos durante la pandemia, o que el año pasado haya optado por haberlos enviado a una escuela privada, pero que quieran que sus hijos asistan a Aldrin este nuevo años escolar, a comienzos del otoño, ellos también tienen que registrar a sus hijos ahora. Incluso si los hijos habían asistido a clases en Aldrin, o en alguna otra escuela pública en el condado de Fairfax (FCPS), pero los retiraron durante la pandemia, ellos van a tener que volver a registrar a sus hijos este nuevo año.

Esto no aplica para los estudiantes de Aldrin que el año pasado tuvieron clases virtuales o clases híbridas (virtuales y en persona). 

 

Por favor, ayúdenos a pasar la voz, pues es hora de registrar a los hijos en la escuela.  

 

Si usted necesita registrar a un/a niño/a en la escuela, no lo deje para otro día. Ahora es el momento de terminar esa tarea. ¡Si lo registra ahora, nos ayuda a tener los profesores y el personal necesario para maximizar el apoyo que sus hijos reciben en Aldrin! ¡Muchas gracias!
