Assistant Principal's Message

Ms. An, Assistant Principal

Ms. KJ An, Oak Hill's new Assistant Principal

My name is Kyungjoo (KJ) An and it is with great excitement that I write this letter of introduction to you as the newly appointed Assistant Principal of Oak Hill  Elementary School.

I began my journey as an educator in FCPS in 2001 as a Kindergarten teacher at Forest Edge Elementary School. Then in 2006, I had the opportunity to be a charter member of Eagle View Elementary School.  I worked as a classroom teacher teaching students in grades K-3 at Eagle View Elementary School from 2006 to 2016.  During my time as a classroom teacher at Eagle View Elementary School, I obtained and successfully renewed my National Board Professional Teaching Certification as an early childhood generalist.  Most recently, I served as an assistant principal at Fairfax Villa Elementary School from 2016-2021.

I am honored to serve as the next assistant principal of Oak Hill ES! It is a privilege to be a member of a community where parents, teachers, and students care for each other and strive to build relationships that promote academic and social growth.

Ridership Survey

schoolbus

On July 29, 2021, the Office of Transportation Services (OTS) will conduct a student ridership survey for all eligible riders. It is important that parents respond to the survey by August 4, 2021 and submit a separate survey for each of their children enrolled in FCPS. If the survey is not completed and returned, the student will not be added to a bus route at the beginning of the school year.

During the school year, changes to the intent form can be made with your school's SIS operator if the need for transportation changes or the survey is not returned by August 4, 2021. It may take up to five days to update transportation schedules.

This is a reminder that all students, drivers, and attendants must wear face coverings when boarding or riding on a school bus. Parents/guardians should review their Parent Vue account for updated bus route assignment information after August 10, 2021.  If you have any questions, please contact Oak Hill at 703-467-3500.
