Timber Lane Elementary School Updates

Timber Lane Community,

We hope this email finds you well and in the midst of enjoying a summer full of fun, outings, and wonderful family memories.  While you've been out of school our custodians have been working extremely hard cleaning every square inch of this building!  They have removed every single item out of every single classroom - cleaning not just the classrooms but also the desks, chairs, furniture - from top to bottom!  

Our summer programs have started for those students who met the criteria for additional reading, writing and math remediation.  We cannot believe we have about a dozen teachers back in the building already, working their tails off!

We will soon be planning and communicating some very important upcoming dates and events for you all to take part in.  By the very beginning of August we will communicate the following events with you:

-Back to School Night/Open House

-Kindergarten Play Dates in August

-Family tours for new students AND for students who have not yet stepped foot in our building :)

-Classroom/Teacher Assignments

-School Supplies Updates Per Grade Level

Well Wishes to Departing Staff Members

We'd like to take this opportunity to wish our cherished staff members the very best in their future endeavors.  We have some retirements, intra-state moves, changes in positions, and some folks pursuing opportunities outside of education.  We would like to share the following updates with you:

Comunidad Timber Lane,

Esperamos que este correo electrónico lo encuentre bien y en medio de un verano lleno de diversión, excursiones y maravillosos recuerdos familiares. ¡Mientras usted estuvo fuera de la escuela, nuestros conserjes han estado trabajando muy duro limpiando cada centímetro cuadrado de este edificio! Han eliminado todos los elementos de cada aula, limpiando no solo las aulas, sino también los escritorios, las sillas y los muebles, ¡de arriba a abajo!

Nuestros programas de verano han comenzado para aquellos estudiantes que cumplieron con los criterios de recuperación adicional en lectura, escritura y matemáticas. ¡No podemos creer que ya tengamos alrededor de una docena de maestros en el edificio, trabajando hasta el final!

Pronto estaremos planificando y comunicando algunas fechas y eventos muy importantes para que todos ustedes participen. A principios de agosto les comunicaremos los siguientes eventos:

-Noche de regreso a clases / Casa abierta

-Fechas de juego de jardín de infantes en agosto

-Recorridos familiares para estudiantes nuevos Y para estudiantes que aún no han puesto un pie en nuestro edificio :)

-Asignaciones de aula / maestro

-Actualizaciones de útiles escolares por nivel de grado

Buenos deseos para los miembros del personal que se van

Nos gustaría aprovechar esta oportunidad para desear a nuestros queridos miembros del personal lo mejor en sus proyectos futuros. Tenemos algunas jubilaciones, mudanzas dentro del estado, cambios de puestos y algunas personas buscan oportunidades fuera de la educación.
