We hope everyone is having a great summer so far! Below are some reminders about resources and Sprout School Supply Kit deadline which is quickly approaching.
Our office is open daily from 9am – 12pm or by appointment all summer. Please reach out if you need any assistance. If you know of any new neighbors with school-aged children, please have them contact the office so we can help them with the registration process.

PTA School Supply Orders for
2021-22 School Year – Deadline July 13
Now On Sale: Sprout School Supply Kits for 2021-2022 School Year
Once again, the PTA is working with Sprout Supplies to offer our families the option of purchasing school supply kits for next school year. To order, go to www.sproutsupplies.com and use school code SES005. Be sure to choose the correct grade level supply kit for the upcoming school year 2021-22. For any questions or assistance needed with your order, please contact Sprout customer service.

Things to Know:
o Deadline to order is July 13
o Kits include everything on our Stenwood teachers' grade level supply lists for next school year. Your student kit is individually packaged with all the items.
o This is not a PTA fundraiser. The online store option is offered as a service to our parents so that you don't have to hunt down the individual items. You are welcome to shop for the items on your class list outside of this sale.
o Kits are shipped directly to the school. Your kit will be delivered to your child's classroom for the Open House/first day of school.

Summer Meal Program
Summer Meal Kits, containing seven (7) days of breakfast and lunch items packed in bulk. will be offered on Mondays.
Meal kits are available at no-cost to FCPS students and children eighteen (18) years of age and under. Parents/caregivers may pick up for children and adults may purchase kits for $28.00. Please wear a mask when picking up the meal kits. For more information, visit: https://www.fcps.edu/return-school/food.

Meal kits will be available for pick up every Monday from 8:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. or until supplies are exhausted.

Digital Learning Resources Summer Access
The following digital learning resources will be available to all FCPS students through August 6. After August 6, students will regain access at the beginning of the 2021-2022 school year.
• Literacy Footprints
• Clever (also has access to all of the resources below)
• ST Math
• Imagine Learning and Literacy (primary)
• Imagine Reading (upper grades)
• Wixie (K-5 only)

Summer Reading Bingo
Summer will be here before we know it and we want all Stingers to keep reading.
All Stenwood students are encouraged to participate in Stenwood’s Summer Reading Bingo, Stingers are Readers. Similar to a Bingo game, students are encouraged to spend the summer reading using the Stingers are Readers bingo sheet as a guide.
All students who successfully complete a row, column or the diagonal and return the bingo sheet will receive a Stingers are Readers prize. All students will receive the Stingers are Readers bingo sheet with the final progress report.

Summer Math Challenge
Participate in a free six-week online math skills maintenance program designed for students who have just completed grades 1-8.
The 2021 Challenge will support student learning at home and offers daily emails with fun activities and links to educational resources at each student’s ability level. Parents can monitor their child's progress and generate weekly badges and a certificate to celebrate accomplishments.

Laptop Turn In
ALL FCPS laptops must be turned in for the summer. All students will need to return any FCPS laptops, chargers, and cases (if in person) for the summer.
If you have not returned these items, please stop by the office between 9am – 12pm or by appointment to return them.
