The Irving MS Summer READ! Program, which runs from June 12th -August 22nd, gives students a lot of choice in what they read.  While logged into their Google account, students may view a choice board that lists many different types of things that students can opt to read.  Completing a choice board square and filling out a Google Form about what they read earns the student one (1) ticket.

Each ticket serves as one (1) entry in the drawing for prizes that will happen at the beginning of next school year.   Students can earn up to 24 tickets throughout the summer.  Four students’ names will be chosen to receive $25 Barnes and Noble gift cards.  A student may only win one (1) gift card.

Library News

BRING THEM BACK:  We’re calling for all library items to be returned as soon as possible.  Items borrowed by students may be returned ANY weekday, from around 7:45 until 1:15 (to avoid bus congestion).  There is a big, metal book return that sits right inside the school’s main entrance.  In-person students may simply bring their books to the library for return.

Please check for ANY FCPS books that might be in your home.  Many things were not returned from when students borrowed items as 6th graders in their elementary schools.  Please help us get all of these materials back to their proper schools so that other students can enjoy them.
