Dear Clermont Families,
It is so hard to believe that the end of the school year is here! This school year has challenged all of us unlike any other year. I am very proud of our entire school community for the flexibility, resilience, and perseverance that was demonstrated as we faced numerous changes and unknowns. The children amazed us daily with their positivity and creativity in both the virtual and hybrid settings! Our staff and students now have new tech tools to utilize in the future to enhance their learning experience.
The entire staff at Clermont is looking forward to having all of our students return for five full days of in-person learning in August. We traditionally host several events in the fall such as Open House and Back to School Night. As Covid restrictions evolve over the summer, FCPS senior leadership will evaluate what these restrictions mean for us at the school level. Once a plan is in place for these events and for the opening of school, I will communicate this to all registered families. Please note that the first day of school is Monday, August 23rd.
Sincerely,
Ms. Salata, Principal
Although we are sad to see you go, we are so proud of all of our sixth grade students who are moving on to middle school. We know that you will go on to do great things, and we are honored to have been part of your journey!

Final progress reports will be mailed home for all students who have not opted out for paperless copies. Official Standards of Learning (SOL) test scores for students who took these assessments in grades 3-6 will mailed by Virginia Department of Education to families sometime prior to the start of the 2021-22 school year. This year, parents will also be able to access SOL scores directly in SIS ParentVUE. Individual test scores will be visible in the student test history by the end of June, and a formal SOL report letter will be posted in ParentVUE by August.
At the end of the school year, all FCPS equipment distributed to students not attending summer learning programs must be returned. This includes laptops, chargers, mice, MiFis, and carrying cases/laptop sleeves.
In-person Students: Should have returned equipment on the last day of school to their teacher.
Virtual Students: Return dates are Friday, June 11th, from 2:30 pm to 4:00 pm and Saturday, June 12th from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. Please come through the cafeteria doors located on the parking lot side of the building.
To help the collection process run more smoothly, tightly wrap charger cords and mice prior to drop-off and make sure to remove any personal dongle that may be plugged into the laptop. Students attending summer learning programs will be given instructions on returning technology at the end of the summer program.
