Student Medication Pick-up at the End of School Year 20-21

  • PARENTS/GUARDIANS ONLY must pick-up all medications no later than 1:30 p.m. on June 11, 2021.
  • Medications may also be picked up prior to June 11th during health room hours (8:45 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.).
  • Medication left in the Health Room after 1:30 p.m. on June 11 cannot be saved and will be discarded according to FCPS and FCHD policy.
  • REMINDER: New medication authorization forms are required for each new school year.  Forms are located at: https://www.fcps.edu/registration/forms

Grocery BagMeal Kit Distribution

7-day meal kits will be distributed on June 7th, 10th, and 14th at Door #1 beginning at 10AM until supplies are exhausted.  Details are available on the website: https://www.fcps.edu/return-school/food.

 

Summer Practice Books

Summer Practice Books will be mailed home to FCPS students to provide suggested activities for students to support continued learning.  Families who have opted-out of paper mailings from the division will only receive digital copies of the Summer Practice Books.  Books will be mailed home to families in early June to arrive before the last day of school, June 11, 2021.  Families will receive email communication in May about upcoming book arrival.  Digital versions of books will be emailed to the enrolling parent SIS account in PDF format the week of June 7, 2021.

  • Pre-Kindergarten students will receive one interdisciplinary Summer Practice Book.
  • Students enrolled in grades K-8 in 2020-21 will receive one Language Arts Practice Book and one Math Practice Book by course enrollment.  These books will also include information and guidance about digital tools that can be accessed by students and families to support learning throughout the summer.
  • English Learners and Special Education students may receive additional or customized books.

Technology NewsLaptop return

Hundreds of students have checked out a laptop for either virtual or in person instruction.  All laptops and chargers will be returned at the end of the school year, which is just around the corner. 

The last day of school is Friday, June 11th.  In person students will return their laptops and chargers during the final week of school.  Virtual students will return their laptops and chargers June 14th-17th between the hours of 9 am and 4 pm at Door #1.  

Students who are moving or leaving before the last day of school will need to return their laptop and charger beforehand.

Kindergarten Registration

If you have a preschool-aged child who is eligible for kindergarten for the 2021-2022 school year, please use this link to access the form. Return completed forms to the office as soon as possible.

If you know of any children in your neighborhood who also have rising kindergartners, please share this information or ask them to reach out to Sevil Tahmazova, 703-206-5300.

Virginia law, Section 22.1-254 requires that children who will reach their fifth birthday on or before September 30, 2021 must enroll in kindergarten for the 2021-2022 school year. If your child turns five on or before 09/30/2021 and you do not wish to enroll him/her in kindergarten, please let us know in writing.

The form can be submitted to Sevil Tahmazova stahmazova@fcps.edu or by dropping it off at the school, door number 1.

Recogida de medicamentos para estudiantes al final del año escolar 2020-2021

  • SOLO PADRES / APODERADOS deben recoger todos los medicamentos a más tardar a la 1:30 pm del 11 de junio de 2021.
  • Los medicamentos también se pueden recoger antes del 11 de junio en la enfermería entre las horas de 8:45 am a 1:30 pm.
  • Los medicamentos que se dejen en la sala de salud después de la 1:30 pm del 11 de junio no se pueden guardar y se desecharán de acuerdo con la política de FCPS y FCHD.

Libros de práctica de verano

Los libros de práctica de verano se enviarán por correo a los estudiantes de FCPS para proporcionar actividades sugeridas para que los estudiantes apoyen el aprendizaje continuo.  Las familias que hayan optado por no recibir correos en papel de la división solo recibirán copias digitales de los Libros de Práctica de Verano. Los libros se enviarán por correo a casa a las familias a principios de junio para llegar antes del último día de escuela, el 11 de junio de 2021.  Las familias recibirán comunicación por correo electrónico en mayo sobre la próxima llegada del libro.  Las versiones digitales de los libros se enviarán por correo electrónico a la cuenta sis principal inscribida en formato PDF la semana del 7 de junio de 2021.

  1. Los estudiantes de pre-kindergarten recibirán un libro interdisciplinario de práctica de verano.
  2. Los estudiantes inscritos en los grados K-8 en 2020-21 recibirán un Libro de Práctica de Artes del Lenguaje y un Libro de Práctica de Matemáticas por inscripción en el curso.  Estos libros también incluirán información y orientación sobre herramientas digitales a las que pueden acceder estudiantes y familias para apoyar el aprendizaje durante todo el verano.
  3. Los estudiantes de inglés y de educación especial pueden recibir libros adicionales o personalizados.

Cientos de estudiantes han sacado una computadora portátil para recibir instrucción virtual o en persona. Todas las computadoras portátiles y cargadores se devolverán al final del año escolar, que está a la vuelta de la esquina. 

El último día de clases es el viernes, 11 de junio.  Los estudiantes que asisten en persona, devolverán sus computadoras portátiles y cargadores durante la última semana de clases. Estudiantes que asisten  virtualmente  devolverán sus computadoras portátiles y cargadores del 14 al 17 de junio  en el horario de las 9 am y las 4 pm en la puerta # 1.   Los estudiantes que se muden o se vayan antes del último día de clases deberán devolver su computadora portátil y el cargador de antemano.

KidsInscripción en el jardín de infantes

Si usted tiene un niño en edad preescolar que es elegible para el jardín de infantes para el año escolar 2021-2022, utilice este enlace  para acceder al formulario. Devuelva los formularios completados a la oficina tan pronto como sea posible.

Si conoce a algún niño de su vecindario que también tenga kindergartners en ascenso, por favor comparta esta información o pídale que se comprometa con Sevil Tahmazova, 703-206-5300.

La ley de Virginia, Sección 22.1-254 requiere que los niños que lleguen a su quinto cumpleaños el 30 de septiembre de 2021 o antes de septiembre de 2021 deben inscribirse en el jardín de infantes para el año escolar 2021-2022. Si su hijo cumple cinco años o antes del 09/30/2021 y usted no desea inscribirlo en el jardín de infantes, por favor háganoslo saber por escrito.
