June 8 - important information Reminder

Tuesday, June 8

Poplar Tree is Celebrating the End of the 2020-21 School Year and our 6th Graders!

Tuesday, June 8 is Election Day, and FCPS has decided to make this day a virtual school day for ALL students because many schools are polling places for the state primary election.

Here at Poplar Tree we have decided to use this day as a day of celebration. We will be celebrating the end of the 2020-21 school year just as we started it - virtually!

In the afternoon, we also have planned a community parade for our 6th grade students. Our 6th grade students missed out on many activities this school year.

We would like all our Poplar Tree students and families to come out on the parade route (see below) and show our 6th graders how much we love them as they head to middle school.

Please see the Poplar Tree June 8 schedule below with all the details.
