Teacher Appreciation Week

This wee was Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week. One week is not enough to express how thankful we are for all of the Clermont educators and staff members who come together to make this a great place to learn and work!

If your child will be joining Clermont for Kindergarten in the fall, please join us for a virtual orientation on Monday, May 10th, 2021 at 1:00 pm for Kindergarten Orientation. Join with Google Meet!


Kindergarten Registration

We're excited to welcome our newest Eagles!

If you have a child who will be five years old by September 30, 2021, please fill out the new student registration signup/intake form on our website. More information about student registration, including links to required forms, can be found at clermontes.fcps.edu/student-services/student-registration. Bingo Prize Pick-Up

Did you or your child win prizes at a PTA Bingo night? If so, please pick up your prizes from the main office at Clermont any day next week between 8:30 am – 4:00 pm. Unclaimed prizes will be returned to the PTA. 


Summer Programs

You may have already heard that all elementary schools in the county will be offering summer programs from July 12 – 30. Clermont will be hosting some summer classes, and these will be located at Cameron ES. Please note that classes are capped at 12 students and the programs are not open enrollment. Attendance is by invitation only for students who meet specific qualifying criteria. Emails will be sent to parents/guardians of qualifying children next week.


All Students to be Virtual on June 8 Due to Democratic Primary Election

Tuesday, June 8, is the Democratic Primary Election. Because the Fairfax County Electoral Board and City of Fairfax Electoral Board will be using 165 school facilities as polling locations, June 8 will be a virtual synchronous  learning day (no in-person classes) for students. All Clermont students will log into classes from home by 9:00 am.

Clermont Library

Our fabulous Clermont Librarian, Kannan Cangro, will be on leave for the remainder of the school year. We are pleased to welcome Amy Killian as our long term substitute librarian. Vaccination Appointments Open for All County Residents

As of April 18, all All individuals who are 16 or older are eligible to receive a COVID-19 vaccine. 

Visit the U.S. Health and Human Services website for more information or go to the Health Department’s site for specifics on how to make an appointment to get vaccinated.


Food Drive

Clermont is sponsoring a food drive to benefit Koinonia, an organization which distributes food and other items to families in our community.

Donations are accepted during the month of May.

Counselor's Corner

Will you be moving this summer?

As part of the counseling program at Clermont Elementary, we have small group counseling on the topic of moving. The groups meet one time per week for 3 weeks. Meetings are during the school day and last for thirty minutes. 

Please complete this form if you would like your child to participate. 

If you have any questions or concerns or are unable to electronically fill out the form, please contact your child’s counselor at one of the email addresses below.

Please complete form no later than May 10th.

Technology Resources

FCPS has developed multiple resources that can help with basic technology issues to support learning at home.

  • If there is a problem with your Clermont issued laptop, you may enter a support request ticket via the Parent and Student IT Portal.
  • FCPS' Parent Technology Resource page includes tip sheets in multiple languages that provide answers to basic questions about FCPS technologies.
  • FCPS’ YouTube channel has videos on basic technology topics that highlight some of the key FCPS tools, such as Google and Blackboard. These videos are designed to provide solutions for quick, simple questions. 
  • Broader inquiries about FCPS programs or resources for families may be directed to the Parent Resource Center at 703-204-3941, or use one of our eight Parent Information Phone Lines for information in multiple languages.
