Forum Topics: Strategic Program Review & School Trust Policy

Tues, May 4 - Forum -  10 am

Strategic Program Review

The School Board will review current FCPS program offerings, including best practices and programs that help deliver a 21st century education, suggestions for any potential changes or additions, and community and stakeholder engagement.

School Trust Policy

The School Board will develop a School Trust Policy that aligns with the Public Trust and Confidentiality Policy recently adopted by the Board of Supervisors. The Fairfax County policy establishes mandatory countywide standards for information sharing and other protections for our immigrant neighbors, and prohibits voluntary cooperation by all Fairfax agencies with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). The county will continue to fully comply with federal, state, or local laws including all law enforcement agencies requesting criminal law enforcement assistance.

Safeway $5 Donation Requests for FCPS PPE Supplies

It has come to our attention that Safeway stores throughout the region have been accepting small donations to purchase and donate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to local schools and area non-profits. While Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) appreciates this generosity, we already have a full complement of PPE and a solid distribution network. Therefore, we will be working with Safeway to redirect their efforts, so that the donated PPE supplies can be better utilized by other local entities with need.
