Virtual Students - Computer Restarts Needed

SOL testing begins on May 10th for students in Grades 3-5.  In order to ensure that testing goes smoothly, it is important that all virtual students connect to the FCPS network and restart their computer.  This will allow critical technology updates to be loaded on every student computer.  You do not have to come inside the building, and it doesn’t have to be during school hours.  Here are the steps to take as soon as possible.

  1. Come to the front door of the school
  2. Ensure you are connected to the school WIFI
  3. Restart the computer
  4. Wait for updates to install

Please contact your child’s teacher with any questions

Rec-PAC is a six-week, structured recreation program operated by the Fairfax County Park Authority for elementary school children. Weekly activities incorporate character-building activities. A ratio of at least one staff person to 18 participants is our standard. Our enthusiastic leaders include college students and school teachers who bring a variety of skills.

Safety is our number one priority, and Rec-PAC follows guidelines established by the Fairfax County Health Department, the Virginia Department of Health and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. All activities will follow recommended, pandemic-related health safety protocols such as social distancing, mask wearing and frequent hand washing. Participants will stay with the same group of children and staff throughout the day, and staff will clean surfaces frequently.

The number Rec-PAC locations and the number of children at each site is limited this year due to COVID-related precautions. You must register in advance. No walk-in registrations are allowed at Rec-PAC sites.
