Bike to School or in the Community Day

National Bike Month has been celebrated in the month of May since 1956.  The goal is to showcase the many health benefits of bicycling.  This Wednesday, May 5 is the official Bike to School or Community Day.  We are encouraging all Stone walkers to instead, ride their bike to school to help celebrate the importance of this national day.  Stone has a bike rack located by the Library for students to lock up their bike during the day.  Don’t forget your bike helmet! If you are a virtual student, we encourage you to enjoy the benefits of bicycling by finding time to bike around your neighborhood or through a park. Fairfax County has an extensive network of both paved and natural surface bike trails. You can access a map to all the trails in Fairfax county here
