Principal's Message - 4/17/21

Good Morning Parents and Families:

Our students and staff continue to engage in dynamic instruction and meaningful learning experiences and this week was no exception. Read below for this week’s Portrait of a Panther winners, as well as our classroom spotlight feature.

We are excited to have many students return to in-person learning four days a week beginning April 20 as a result of the updated physical distancing guidelines. If for some reason you missed the email and would like your student to be considered for additional days of in-person learning, please contact me directly (mcnorris@fcps.edu). Please note: if this is something you wish to consider, your student wouldn’t be able to begin four days of in-person instruction until the week of April 26.

In the meantime, we will continue to work together as a full school community to support ALL of our students and families to close out the 2020-2021 school year strong. In the coming weeks, we will provide updated information as it relates to spirit weeks, teacher appreciation week, our PTA Chipotle Fundraiser night and other end-of-year events!

Thank you for your continued support.

Have a wonderful weekend,

~Meredith Norris, Principal

English 8 Classroom Spotlight: “Live Your Truth”
English 8 students created presentations to answer the guiding question, "What’s one thing every eighth grader should try at least once in their lifetime?". They used research and evidence to persuade their peers to agree with their opinion and try something new. Check out their work here!
