Message from Ms. Jankovich

Ramadan Mubarak to all our Sangster families celebrating Ramadan this month!

We certainly have many things to celebrate this month. April is Month of the Military Child as well as Autism Acceptance Month. We are beginning to bring back more students for in-person learning and continue to use our MTSS process to identify additional students when space allows for it. Currently, out of 897 students, 297 are all virtual, 208 are attending school 2 days a week, and 392 are back in-person 4 days a week. We are continuing to think outside the box to determine if more students can return to the building.

As always, please reach out if you have any questions. We truly appreciate all your support!

Allison Jankovich
Acting Principal

IMPORTANT: Changes to Bus Stop Times

1) Students returning to school four days a week are being added to bus routes.
2) Your student(s) bus route pickup and drop off times may continue to change.
3) Buses may now come earlier or later to your bus stop.
4) Check your ParentVue SIS account on a daily basis to find out if your student(s) bus route timing has changed.
5) Select the Student Information tab for this information.
6) If you do not have a ParentVue SIS account, contact our school registrar, Marian Hoelscher at mthoelscher@fcps.edu.

Thank you for your patience and understanding during this transition period.

Positivity Project

Week of April 11

Other People Mindset

Our Positivity Project focus for this week is the Other People Mindset with an emphasis on identifying and appreciating the good in others. Those who demonstrate this mindset work hard to identify and value others’ strengths. Ask your student to share what they have learned about their strengths this year.

The site P2 For Families is available for connecting P2 to your home and you can learn more about the site here. Many of the slides are password protected and the password is P2 (case-sensitive).

FCPS Cares!

FCPS CARES is an opportunity for staff, parents, students, and community members to recognize FCPS employees for going above and beyond to help others. Every month, a nominated employee from each region and Central Offices will be recognized as an FCPS CARES of the Month recipient. We’ll share their names in Employee News, and they will also have access to a new FCPS CARES banner for their profile photo in Outlook. Watch this video to learn more about FCPS CARES. We also encourage you to acknowledge a staff member who has gone above and beyond
