Bryant High School Parents, Guardians, and Students,
I hope everyone had a restful and relaxing spring break recently and is ready and focused on having a strong finish to the year! As you know from recent communications from the superintendent’s office, FCPS is offering interested students the opportunity to attend Bryant High School for four days a week of in-person instruction starting this month as long as health metrics remain stable. We will first be reaching out this week to our families who have children attending 2 days a week to see if they want to come four days instead. The plan would be to start those select students on Tuesday, April 20.
During the week of the 20th, we will be reaching out to our families of students who are currently attending school virtually to assess their interest in possibly returning to campus four days a week. For these “virtual” students interested in coming back, we expect a Tuesday, April 27 start date for in-person learning. As health metrics change and we see more success in our day to day operations, returning to school may be a decision that some students would like to make at this time. Please keep in mind that this will be the last opportunity this school year for students to return four days a week. Whatever decisions are made in the next two weeks by students and families will be honored as we finish out the 2020-2021 school year.
As we have requested all year, please continue to monitor your student’s health and stress the importance of wearing masks, socially distancing, and hand washing. We look forward to touching base with each of our families in the coming weeks and to finalize your instructional delivery model for the final few months of school. Padres, tutores y estudiantes de Bryant High School,
¡Espero que todos hayan tenido unas vacaciones de primavera tranquilas y relajantes recientemente y estén listos y enfocados en tener un buen final de año! Como saben por comunicaciones recientes de la oficina del superintendente, FCPS está ofreciendo a los estudiantes interesados la oportunidad de asistir a Bryant High School durante cuatro días a la semana de instrucción en persona a partir de este mes, siempre que las métricas de salud se mantengan estables. Primero estaremos contactando a nuestras familias que tienen niños que asisten 2 días a la semana para ver si quieren venir cuatro días en su lugar. El plan sería comenzar con esos estudiantes selectos el martes 20 de abril.
Durante la semana del 20, nos comunicaremos con nuestras familias de estudiantes que actualmente asisten a la escuela virtualmente para evaluar su interés en posiblemente regresar al campus cuatro días a la semana. Para estos estudiantes “virtuales” interesados en regresar, esperamos una fecha de inicio el martes 27 de abril para el aprendizaje en persona. A medida que cambian las métricas de salud y vemos más éxito en nuestras operaciones diarias, regresar a la escuela puede ser una decisión que a algunos estudiantes les gustaría tomar en este momento. Tenga en cuenta que esta será la última oportunidad este año escolar para que los estudiantes regresen cuatro días a la semana. Cualquier decisión que los estudiantes y las familias tomen en las próximas dos semanas serán honradas al terminar el año escolar 2020-2021.
Como hemos solicitado durante todo el año, continúe controlando la salud de su estudiante y enfatice la importancia de usar máscaras, distanciarse socialmente y lavarse las manos. Esperamos poder ponernos en contacto con cada una de nuestras familias en las próximas semanas y finalizar su modelo de enseñanza para los últimos meses de clases.
