New numbers for spectators beginning April 1. Indoor events will allow 100 fans and outdoor events up to 500.

FCPS has been given the go ahead to allow limited spectators at indoor and outdoor events held on FCPS campuses. Per the Governor's mandate, spectators at indoor events are limited to 25 spectators and outdoor athletic events to 250 spectators per contest. Below outlines the process we will use to institute this. A must read, should you have the opportunity to attend an event.

  • Per FCPS, spectator attendance has been permitted for ALL levels (Freshman, JV, Varsity) for home and away contests. Attendance will be limited to 100 spectators for indoor sporting events and 500 for outdoor sporting events (250 spectators for the home team and 250 spectators for the visiting team) -  $5 entry fee for all events, please bring exact change.

General Guidelines

Per the Fairfax County Park Authority, there will be no spectators allowed at their outdoor facilities for Golf and Cross County.

  • Indoor sport spectators are asked to arrive at the school, no earlier than 15 minutes prior to the scheduled start time. We cannot allow entrance into the gym until all previous game/event spectators have exited. If the weather isn't cooperative, you may want to wait in your cars.
  • Outdoor sport spectators are asked to arrive at the field, no earlier than 30 minutes prior to the scheduled start time.  Entry time to the facility will last one hour.
  • As you enter the facility, you will be required to check-in and answer a set of Covid-19 screening questions.
  • Spectators will be directed to a specific section of the facility. There will be limited concessions available at outdoor events.  Outside food and drink is prohibited (with the exception of water).
  • All spectators must wear masks at all times! Spectators will also be expected to practice safe social distancing while on the school grounds. You may sit with members of your household and you must be six feet from spectators that are not living within your household.
  • At the conclusion of the game, spectators will need to exit the facility as directed immediately. This is to ensure that we can have a smooth transition between games and allow staff to follow FCPS and VHSL protocols.

Although we understand that this doesn't get us back to normal and allow for everyone who wants to attend an event to do so, we hope this is a step in that direction.  We remind everyone  that SPORTSMANSHIP is an expectation of those attending an event at Lake Braddock Secondary School. As members of Patriot District, Occoquan Region and the Virginia High School League we have high standards of sportsmanship is what we expect from those in attendance towards the players, fans and officials. We appreciate your positive support!

General Tryout Information

ALL SPRING SPORTS - Tryouts Begin on Monday, April 12th
Check homepage for updated team try-out times & locations.
As always, the most accurate, up-to-date information will come from your coach!

  1. FCPS has adopted a new online registration process that requires parents to register their students for school-based activities and athletics. To review the *updated* Tryout Information for the 2020-2021 school year, please click here. This registration applies to the following:
  • Academic Activities - Debate, Forensics, Scholastic Bowl, & Theater
  • Athletic Activities - Fall Sports, Winter Sports, & Spring Sports
  • Parents will create one account per family. Students in the same family will need to be registered within the same account. To access the Lake Braddock Activities & Athletics Registration Website, please click here. You will find a step-by-step tutorial and FAQs on the homepage if needed!
  1. Concussion Education is now a required step within registration. Signed paper versions will no longer be collected by the Athletic Training Program or Activities Office. If a paper version has already been submitted for 2020-21, you will still need to complete the Concussion Education step to move forward. Please carefully review the information in its entirety. It will need to be electronically signed by both the parent and This will be our only accepted form of Concussion Education completion moving forward.
  2. Emergency Care Form information is now collected via the registration process, as well. Please make sure this information is complete and accurate, as it will be shared with EMS in the event of an emergency. If possible, please provide at least 2 emergency contacts in the event the parent/guardian cannot be reached. Hard copies are NO LONGER REQUIRED for tryouts or Green/Yellow Day activities.
  1. VHSL Physical Forms will continue to be collected by the Athletic Training Staff or Activities Office. Physicals can either be emailed to Kristyn Wharton at (PDF format ONLY), mailed to the school, or dropped off in the main office. If you do not have access to a scanner, there is a scanning feature built-in to the Notes app on the iPhone that will allow you to scan multiple pages into one document. There are also several free scanning apps that you can download to your phone. If you have already submitted a physical for this school year, it is on file and will remain valid until June 30th, 2021. Blank VHSL forms (Revised 2017 version ONLY) can be found here.
  1. Parent/Guardian Health Screening Commitment Form is an agreement to complete a daily health screening prior to sending your student-athlete to school. It also lists the current guidelines and protocols for what you should do if your child is exposed to a COVID-positive individual or develops COVID-related symptoms themselves. We are asking parents to complete this form electronically if they have not already submitted the paper version for in-person learning. We are hoping this form will eventually take the place of the daily screenings that coaches are currently conducting when students arrive for workouts/practices. To fill this form out, please click here.
  2. Tryout Card Distribution for Spring Sports took place last week. To get a tryout card this week, email our Athletic Trainer, Kristyn Wharton at
