Thank you to those of you who were able to attend our Spring Sports Meet The Coach Night. We have received many questions about the Return to Sports and Spring Sports plans. Below is list of frequently asked questions that we have received and the best answers that we can provide at this time. FAQ's
1.Will there be monitors at every game and practice to ensure health protocols are followed?
Yes. Members of the Athletic office staff and/or our Athletic trainers will be present at all games and most practices to ensure protocols are followed. Furthermore, FCPS will have random visits from monitors to check on compliance as well.
2.Will we be able to access the games after they are live streamed?
Yes. We will be streaming our stadium games through the NFHS network. To register for an account it is free, and once you create an account, search for Lewis High School. This document should help you as well: NFHS Streaming One pager.pptx
3. What is the last possible date to submit physical paperwork to participate in spring sports?
Physicals will be due prior to the beginning of the season, April 12th However, if the physical is turned in late, it will be accepted, and the athlete may begin participating at that point…….at the coaches’ discretion. Please connect with the coach if this type of situation arises.
4. When will you update the athletic scholarship applications?
The athletic scholarship application process is currently being discussed by our athletic booster club, and information will be disseminated in the coming weeks.
5. For the athletic scholarship applications, what grade level is eligible to apply for that scholarship?
Only students in their senior year of high school would be eligible to apply for the athletic scholarship.
