Dear Bailey’s Families,

On Monday, Dr. Brabrand shared more information regarding in-person learning and the updated CDC guidelines for social distancing.  These new guidelines will allow schools to provide more days of in-person instruction.

At Bailey’s ES, we are using the Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) process to identify students who will be invited to participate in four days of in-person learning.  You can learn more about the MTSS process here.   Once our students who are identified through the MTSS process have been contacted, we will begin contacting parents if there are additional in-person students who may be included in four days of instruction.

As we make decisions about providing more days of in-person instruction, we must continue to meet the CDC requirement for students to eat their breakfast, lunch, and snacks with 6 feet of social distancing.  We are also reviewing current classroom occupancy, size of classrooms, availability of furniture, and staffing.

Please know that we are working to accommodate as many of our in-person students as possible and there are no actions you need to take at this time for your child to be considered for four days of instruction.  Thank you for your patience and support as we work to make these adjustments to in-person learning based on CDC and FCPS guidelines.
