Message from the Principal

Dear Bulldog Family--

I hope that you all are already enjoying your Spring Break! While we close out the 3rd quarter, my hope is that we can take the opportunity to enjoy this week and use it to rejuvenate as we look towards the home stretch of the 4th quarter. We hope that everyone can relax, decompress, and disconnect from school technology, and focus their time on doing things that bring them joy. We are hopeful that this will allow families to have meaningful time with their children over spring vacation while also giving our teachers and staff the much deserved opportunity to recharge. Children and adults need breaks from the many demands of school life and a healthy balance is critical to everyone’s well-being. We are in this together, and need to support each other!

If you make plans to travel, please consider the following information:

  • The Virginia Department of Health urges all Virginians to avoid non-essential travel, especially if you are at higher risk of serious COVID-19 or if you will be visiting someone at higher risk of serious COVID-19. This recommendation applies to everyone, even if you have been vaccinated against COVID-19 or have fully recovered from COVID-19.
  • FCPS does not currently have travel restrictions. Students are not required to quarantine or provide COVID-19 test results for either domestic or international travel.
  • Upon returning, any student, staff or visitor demonstrating symptoms of illness is asked to stay home to help “Stop the Spread” of COVID-19.

Once we return from Spring Break I will have more updates for you all surrounding things such as grading changes, event capacities, and event dates. However, I would like for you all to take this opportunity to disconnect, and I sincerely hope that you have an incredible Spring Break.

Go Bulldogs!

Tony
