Changing Decisions to In-Person Return

Students are required to be in person by March 26th if they are returning for the 2020-2021 school year. It is important that teachers go over new procedures and our students and staff are able to settle in with the new structures of the concurrent setup. Changes to enrollment also require restructuring classrooms to allow for new student desks.

It is best if you are thinking about a change to contact Mrs. Kirkpatrick immediately for consideration. We do have a few classes that are at capacity, but so far have been able to meet all requests for in person return. Chesterbrook is at a 75% in-person rate of return.

Kiss N Ride Guidelines

We are expecting a large load during Kiss n Ride and ask for your patience as we get started with the extra classes this week.

  • Please pull all the way forward to unload/load child and allow for as many cars as possible to fill the K&R circle.
  • Students should exit the right side of the car independently - staff can assist but parents should remain in car
  • Students should also be able to enter the car and buckle in and be seated unassisted
  • Practice having the child your child exit and enter the car unassisted.
right only

Cars will be expected to turn right out of the parking lot to expedite the flow of traffic.

Students are not allowed to unload or load on Kirby road. We understand that pulling in the lot takes more time, but it also keeps our students the safest.

These practices will enable our Kiss and Ride to move quickly smoothly for all.

Drop Off

8:40 - 8:55

We cannot accept students early, so if you arrive early, please be patient. We would like all kids in the classroom by 9AM, ready to learn.

Pick Up

Kiss N Ride Wave 1 - 3:30
Walkers - 3:30

Buses Load 3:30 - 3:40 (or until all buses arrive and load)

Kiss N Ride Wave 2

All Kindergarten, First and Second grade Kiss N Ride students will be in the gym while awaiting parents to arrive.  They will be socially distanced and released when parents arrive.

Parents will receive hang tags for cars, which will help staff call names for an expedited pickup of your child(ren).  Thank you for your patience as we get this system up and running.

Nut free

Reminder NO NUT Policy

For the health and safety of our students, snacks and lunches should be nut free. Snacks should be easy to consume items.

Are you Walking your Child to School?

If you are walking your child to school, parents are asked to say good-bye at the kiss n ride area by the trailers (where the picnic tables are or on the sidewalk) or by the flagpole area on the opposite side of the school.  There are paw prints in this area to locate meet up area.

Afterschool, we ask that you wait by the flagpole or kiss n ride to meet your child so we can keep our front walk clear for staff and students exiting. Students will also meet you here in the afternoon for pickup.

Meet New Staff that Joined CES Since the Start of the Year

We will be introducing you to a few more in the coming week. We have two monitors, two new IAs and a new dining room assistant that have joined our team over the last few months to be ready for our opening.
