A Message from Ms. Jankovich

Dear Sangster Families,

Sangster parents/guardians will be contacted through email with a link to the FCPS Principal Evaluation Parent/Guardian Feedback Form Online. This questionnaire is part of the Performance Evaluation Program and offers parents/guardians an opportunity to provide anonymous input about various topics related to our school. These topics include instructional leadership, school climate, human resources management, organizational management, communication and community relations and professionalism. Additionally, the survey is used to assess my impact and effectiveness as principal. Understanding that this has been an unusual year, the impacts of COVID-19 will be taken into consideration when reviewing the feedback.

The questionnaire was sent on Monday morning from FCPSSurvey@fcps.edu. Please take a few minutes to complete the questionnaire. Reminders will be sent periodically to only those parents/guardians who have not complete the questionnaire.

Your opinions matter and I look forward to reviewing the feedback.

If you have not received a survey link and wish to provide feedback, Please email FCPSSurvey@fcps.edu and Shelli Wayland will send you a link

I am extremely grateful for your time and support. Take care. Stay healthy.

Allison Jankovich

Acting Principal

Week of March 7

Social Intelligence

This week’s character strength is Social Intelligence. You show this strength when are aware of other people’s thoughts and feelings and understand why they do things. Social intelligence refers to a person’s ability to understand and manage interpersonal relationships. It involves emotional intelligence and self-awareness. Social intelligence helps individuals build relationships – and is important to numerous aspects of a person’s life. It allows an individual to form friendships and alliances. And, it assists a person against being taken advantage of. People with social intelligence can “read” other people’s faces and know what motivates them. Social intelligence builds over time and as a person ages. In this sense, it is similar to the character strength of perspective.

The site P2 For Families is available for connecting P2 to your home and you can learn more about the site here. Many of the slides are password protected and the password is P2 (case-sensitive).
