On Monday, March 8th, teachers will be offering “office hours” to meet or reconnect with parents and answer any questions regarding returning to school, transitioning into a new class, etc. Please click on the teacher’s name below to join at the designated time.

Here Comes the Bus Mobile App
As a result of the Transportation Services' strategic plan, Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) has decided to pilot the Here Comes the Bus® mobile app at all FCPS locations. Know when your bus is approaching your stop! Here Comes the Bus® app is a school bus tracking app that can simplify morning and afternoon routines for parents and students by giving them real-time bus location and text or email notification alerts, helping them get to the bus stop on time. Here Comes the Bus® utilizes our GPS data and an easy to use customizable map that works on one or multiple devices, such as a tablet or smartphone.
AAP Level IV Orientation

Please join us for a Level IV AAP “Meet and Greet. “After a brief overview of the local level IV program at Timber Lane, teachers will be available to address specific questions regarding their instructional program, student engagement, and curriculum rigor. See you then!

FCPS - Responsible Together
Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) is partnering with families to ensure we keep students and staff safe and healthy as we return to school buildings for learning. Working together, we will follow recommended health guidance that focuses on student health, safety, and emotional well-being.
This information guide will help families know what to expect as student return to school. The guide includes steps families will need to take at home in preparation for the return to school. Please take time to review the information. We recommend talking to your children about how school will be different when they return. Ask them what questions they might have and share how we are all working together to prepare for a safe return. Have your children practice wearing a mask during the day. Discuss the importance of hand washing and covering coughs and sneezes.

As we continue phasing students back into the building, we want to remind our families about the mandatory health screening commitment form. This form represents a commitment to check your child(ren) for possible COVID-19 related symptoms each day before school and to not send your child to school if any symptoms or illness are present.
Completing this form in advance will ensure a smooth arrival process for everyone. The form can be emailed directly to Sevil Tahmazova, Student Information Assistant, or brought to school with your child on their first day. The commitment form is also available in Spanish.

Kindergarten Registration
If you have a preschool-aged child who is eligible for kindergarten for the 2021-2022 school year, please use this link to access the form. Return completed forms to the office as soon as possible.
If you know of any children in your neighborhood who also have rising kindergartners, please share this information or ask them to reach out to Sevil Tahmazova, 703-206-5300.
Virginia law, Section 22.1-254 requires that children who will reach their fifth birthday on or before September 30, 2021 must enroll in kindergarten for the 2021-2022 school year. If your child turns five on or before 09/30/2021 and you do not wish to enroll him/her in kindergarten, please let us know in writing.
The form can be submitted to Sevil Tahmazova stahmazova@fcps.edu or by dropping it off at the school, door number 1.

Completar este formulario con anticipación garantizará un proceso de llegada sin problemas para todos.
