Message from the Principal

Langley HS

Greetings Saxons,

I’m still riding high from the thrill of welcoming students back to the building this week. When schools closed on March 12, 2020, I never imagined it would be almost a year before I would again hear the sounds of our children in the halls of building. School staff is so looking forward to welcoming sophomores and juniors next week.

Also, a huge thank you to the PTSA who welcomed teachers to the first day of in-person learning by stocking work rooms with snacks and beverages. The organization’s support of our teachers and staff is tremendously appreciated.

Congratulations to Langley Orchestra for their production of another phenomenal virtual concert. The concert, which premiered last weekend, highlighted holiday music. In Saxon Country we aren’t bound by the calendar; beautiful music and wonderful talent is celebrated daily! Please take time to pause and enjoy the sounds of our wonderful musicians.

Staff has been overjoyed to welcome students back to the building this week. However, this has been dampened by the news of two Covid cases. As we continue to deal with the pandemic, it is imperative that we all remain vigilant. I respectfully ask that everyone does everything they can to help mitigate the spread of the virus. We all remain safest at home so it remains important that students who are participating in in-person learning and/or school activities limit their interactions with people not in their households. While staff members have had the opportunity to be vaccinated, our children remain vulnerable. Students and staff are worried about contracting the virus. We must be committed to doing all we can to ensure everyone’s safety. Thank you for your understanding and support.

Wishing you wellness,
