As a reminder, Monday, March 8 is a student holiday and staff development day. On this day, students are not expected to complete asynchronous assignments. Teachers will participate in a variety of professional development and planning activities and will not be available for office hours. See the complete 2020-21 school year calendar.
Return to School Dates
March 9 & 11: Grades 1-2 In-Person Students Return to School
March 16 & 18: Grades 3-6 In-Person Students Return to School
Grades 1-2 parents should have received letters letting them know which days their child has been assigned to. Letters for grades 3-6 were mailed this week, and should arrive next week. If you do not receive your letter in a timely fashion, please call the main office at (703) 921-2400 to find out which days your child is assigned to.
Transportation
If you have not already done so, please notify your child's teacher how they will be transported to and from school each day.
Kiss & Ride Safety
If you are driving your child to/from Clermont, you must use the Kiss and Ride loop for everyone’s safety.
- You should always remain in your car. Again, please stay in your vehicle.
- If your child uses a booster seat, it should be on the passenger side of the car, if possible, so that Clermont staff can help your child exit/enter your vehicle.
- At no time is it ever safe to park and walk your child through the parking lot traffic, the bus loop, or the Kiss & Ride loop. Children follow the example of adults, and other children may see you doing this with your child and think it is ok to walk through the moving cars as well.
- The front loop of Clermont is for busses only during arrival and dismissal.
- Please use the designated Kiss and Ride loop and avoid parking on Clermont Drive.

All parents/caregivers of in-person students will be sent letters that contain a Health Screening Commitment Form prior to their return to school date. This form must be completed before students re-enter school buildings. This document confirms that a parent, caregiver, or guardian will complete a daily health screening and will keep students home when they are ill.
The Health Commitment form can be submitted electronically through ParentVUE (PVUE) (preferred) or via hard copy. If you have not yet created a SIS ParentVUE account, please contact Katie Simmons at kesimmons@fcps.edu for an activation code. PDFs of the form and all available translations can also be found online here: https://www.fcps.edu/return-school/student-health-and-safety-guidance-document
