Lake Braddock Pyramid Meeting

The Lake Braddock Pyramid is excited to announce our second pyramid-wide community meeting with all of the Lake Braddock Pyramid School Principals. This virtual meeting will be focused on building a stronger understanding of equity across the PreK – 12 learning continuum. During this conversation, you will learn more about the clearly defined and connected efforts of all eight schools within the pyramid in addressing equity-informed practices to ensure that all students feel welcome and that inclusion remains at the center of our work.

We plan to share our common approaches to achieve our goal and share specific strategies that each school has implemented to address the individual needs of our connected communities.  Please join us on March 23rd, at 6:30 – 8:00 P.M. to participate in the community discussion.  Please use the following link https://us.bbcollab.com/guest/e94dbfd2261f4024afae685772972abc to access the meeting.

We are looking forward to our continued partnership to keep equity at the center of our work, helping to lead each of our students to success.

Sincerely,

Lake Braddock Pyramid Principals

Your Views and Opinions Are Important to Us!

This spring all Kings Park ES parents/guardians will be contacted through email with a link to the FCPS Principal Evaluation Parent/Guardian Feedback Form Online. This questionnaire is part of the Performance Evaluation Program and offers parents/guardians an opportunity to provide anonymous input about various topics related to our school. These topics include instructional leadership, school climate, human resources management, organizational management, communication and community relations and professionalism. Understanding that this has been an unusual year, the impacts of COVID-19 will be taken into consideration when reviewing the feedback. The questionnaire will be collected online between March 8 and March 19. When you receive an email from FCPS Surveys, please take a few minutes to complete the questionnaire. Your opinions and feedback matter!

Return to School Lunch Bunch Recording

Kings Park ES hosted a virtual lunch bunch to discuss FCPS's return to school. While classroom teachers are sharing details and plans that are classroom specific, we were excited to share about KPES globally.

During this time we reinforced the latest updates from FCPS and shared some Kings Park ES specifics. If you were unable to join us, we have you covered! Please see this link to listen to our recorded presentation.

Kiss and Ride

As we welcome students back to Kings Park ES we want to ensure the safe arrival and departure of each child. Kings Park ES has an established area called the Kiss & Ride, which is designed as a safe place for adults in private vehicles to load and unload children. With the cooperation of all drivers the Kiss and Ride is able to provide an efficient and safe transfer of children.

If you are interested in using Kiss and Ride to drop off or pick up your child, please review the attached document and complete the embedded form. Kiss and Ride tags will be mailed home in advance of students returning.
