Next Year’s PTA Board! We need your help!
It is hard to believe that we are already preparing for next year, but it is just around the corner! The PTA board transitions over late spring in preparation for the next school year and we are currently looking for members to serve on the nominating committee to help facilitate the process of electing the new board. Here is a rough timeline of upcoming related activities:
First week in March: Formulate a nominating committee.
March: Elect the nominating committee at the general membership meeting. Nominating committee elects its own chairman.
April: Present nominees for 2021-22 PTA board at the general membership committee.
May: Hold a general membership election meeting to elect the 2021-22 PTA board.
The nominating committee is currently being formed. All members of the nominating committee must be PTA members. Main duties include soliciting PTA board nominees, communicating with other committee members, sharing information regarding board positions, communicating with persons interested in running for the board to answer questions, and attending the April and May general membership meetings to help with presenting nominees and elections. GBE 6th Graders
Let’s make sure our 6th graders graduate in a few months knowing how much GBE loves them! We’re looking for 6th grade parents able to make that happen! If you’re interested in creating/joining a committee to make plans for graduation send off gifts or events, please email me (Sara McClung, vp@gbepta.com) asap!
