Twain MS 7th grade students who have elected to attend school in-person will return the week of March 9:

  • Students with the last name A to K attend on Tuesdays and Wednesdays
  • Students with the last name L to Z attend on Thursdays and Fridays

On the days students are not In-Person, they will continue virtual instruction from home.

Health Screening Commitment Form

Required Prior to Student Return to School Buildings

As many students return to in-person instruction, parents and caregivers are asked to acknowledge a Health Screening Commitment form before their student(s) re-enter school buildings. This document confirms that a parent, caregiver, or guardian will complete a daily health screening and will keep their students home when they are ill.

The Health Commitment form can be submitted electronically through ParentVUE (PVUE) or via hard copy.

Twain’s Library News

As many of our students return to school over the next several weeks, the Twain MS library will be continuing our Monday (and alternate Thursday evening) curbside book checkout service while also adding an option for classroom delivery of library materials to in-person students.

Currently, all students can request print books by placing a “hold” on them through our online catalog, Destiny Discover and picking them up during Curbside Checkout hours. Students who will be returning to Twain for in-person classes will now have the additional option of requesting delivery of the requested books to their English classes.

To facilitate this process for both curbside and in-person delivery, students who have reserved print books or Playaway audiobook devices for checkout must fill out the new Twain MS Library Print Books Delivery & Curbside Service Google form each time they place a hold on physical items for checkout from the library. This Google form will be available in the Library Schoology Course and on Twain’s Website Library page.

Completing the new form will not be required to access our eBooks and digital audiobooks, which continue to remain available “on demand” 24/7 online through MackinVIA or our other FCPS eBook databases.

Students and parents are encouraged to contact the Twain Librarians, Mr. Campana and Mrs. Howard, for additional information.  Remember, our main priority is to make sure all students have equitable access to books. Happy reading!
