Bryant High School Parents, Guardians, and Students,
I hope this communication finds you well. As Fairfax County Public Schools works to return students to school buildings over the next few weeks, this is just a reminder that new bell schedules are in effect across the county. Our teachers have been communicating with students about the new bell schedule which has been posted to our website for your reference. As a point of information, Bryant High School will start the day at 8:20 and end at 2:50, Tuesday – Friday, for the remainder of the year. “Mondays” will still be used for asynchronous work with further guidance being given as we prepare for concurrent teaching and the return of our staff and students.
Bryant High School will return its first students to school on Tuesday, March 2. As we prepare for student and staff return, we want to make sure that all families who are sending their child to school have filled out the “Parent Health Screening Commitment Form”. We will be working to collect this information in the next couple of weeks so please be on the lookout for this communication.
A few other important reminders about this FCPS’ Return to Learn:
- Only those families/students choosing the in-person, hybrid option, will be coming to the building starting the week of March 2, for two days a week only.
- Students with the last names beginning with the letters A – K (and only those who have submitted the in-person registration) will report to Bryant on Tuesdays and Wednesdays for in-person instruction.
- Students with the last names beginning with the letters L – Z (and only those who have submitted the in-person registration) will report on Thursdays and Fridays.
- Transportation will be provided for students two days a week and families will be contacted about their designated bus routes prior to March 2.
Additionally, breakfast and lunch will be served to all students free of charge for the remainder of the year. One important adjustment we are making as a result of COVID 19 is that ALL students will be expected to remain on campus throughout the day and during our lunch block. We believe that it is important to the health and wellness of everyone in our building that students are remaining on campus where we can ensure that they are wearing masks, socially distancing, and limiting contact in the community during the school day.
We recognize that returning to school for those students who have made that decision to come back to campus and our staff who will be here to receive them requires that we all take every precaution we can to stay healthy and well this winter and spring. Please continue to monitor your student’s health and continue to stress the importance of wearing masks, socially distancing, and hand washing as we begin to gather again in Bryant High School. Additionally, ensure that your child has a couple of masks that fit properly if they are coming back to school. As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to your child’s teachers, counselors, administrators, or our front office for assistance.
We look forward to seeing those students who have decided to return to our building two days a week starting in March. Thanks for your continued support and preparation at home and we are excited to start a new phase of learning soon!

Algunos otros recordatorios importantes sobre este regreso para aprender de FCPS:
