Return to School Parent Coffee

We understand that the return to school is causing a great deal of excitement for some and anxiety for others. While we will need to constantly review and adjust our practices based on current information, we want to provide you with updated information on a regular basis. We have created information sessions that will provide you an overview and allow for questions and suggestions. We will offer the same information at each session, to allow you to find a time that fits your schedule. To ensure the most effective use of your time, we are asking that you submit your questions in advance here.

Return to School Transition Timeline

Based on both parent and staff input, we have made an adjustment to our dates for transitioning students to their new teachers. This change will allow the in-person students an opportunity to get to know the teacher before returning to the building.

You will also notice that we have built in orientations for each grade level. This will be a brief opportunity to meet the teacher and learn about their routines, procedures, and expectations. This will not be a full Back to School Night presentation, as the curriculum that is being covered remains the same as the curriculum we introduced at the beginning of the year.

PAWS Awards

We are always looking for ways to share how much we appreciate and support all of the hard work our staff is putting into this year. If you have seen one of our teachers or other staff members doing something above and beyond please consider sharing through our PAWS form. Your feedback will enter them into a weekly opportunity for a gift card, thanks to a donation from our PTA.

Clothing Hanger Donations

Pine Spring has been fortunate enough to receive a donation of girls clothes, and we would love to get them out to our community in a safe way. For us to do that, we need your help. We are asking for clothing hanger donations. We will use the hangers to safely space out the clothes so parents can select items that will fit their child. If you have hangers you are willing to donate, please drop them off in the box outside of Door 1 during our normal school day hours.

Welcoming Future Bobcats

Is your child turning 5-years-old by September 30, 2021? If so, they are ready to attend kindergarten during the  2021-2022 school year! Please contact Ms. Breeden at 571-226-4400 to be added to our mailing list to support you through the FCPS registration process. If you have specific questions, please reach out to the main office or email Ms. Yacubovich for guidance.
