Letters Are On the Way

If you chose for your child to return to in-person learning, please make sure to check your mailboxes over the next two weeks for a letter from Clermont ES letting you know which days of the week your child is scheduled to come back. Your child will be scheduled for Red Days (Tues/Wed) or Blue Days (Thurs/Fri). Thank you for your patience while we work to get these letters sent out.

Health Screening Commitment Form Required Prior to Student Return to School Buildings

The above referenced mailing will also contain a  Health Screening Commitment Form. Parents and caregivers are asked to complete this form before your student(s) re-enter school buildings. This document confirms that a parent, caregiver, or guardian will complete a daily health screening and will keep students home when they are ill.

The Health Commitment form can be submitted electronically through ParentVUE (PVUE) (preferred) or via the hard copy included in the mailing.

Canned Food Drive

An image of a paper bag full of groceries, with a heart and the words "Food Drive."

Clermont is sponsoring a canned food drive to benefit Koinonia, an organization which distributes food to families in our community.

Donations are accepted during the month of February. A collection box will be placed at the front of the school, either outside the front door or right inside the vestibule.

Canned fruit, beans, soups, tuna and vegetables are needed. No glass containers please.

Thank you for showing you CARE for others.

Counselor's Corner

Random Acts of Kindness Day

Random Acts of Kindness Day is celebrated on February 17th.  Research shows that doing a kind act, receiving a kind act, or even watching a kind act has positive effects! No matter how big or small, kind acts can make a difference in someone’s life. Here are some ideas you might try:

  • Make Kindness Rocks and leave them out for people to find.
  • Schedule some special time with a friend or family member to maintain that important connection with loved ones. Meet virtually if needed.
  • Download this calendar which is FULL of ideas to practice kindness.  Have your family create your own kid-friendly version.
  • Create a Kindness Club with friends and neighbors. Meet, virtually if needed, to discuss things you can do in your community to make a difference and spread kindness.
  • Write an uplifting chalk message on someone’s driveway or post an inspirational sign.
  • Donate to the canned food drive during the month of February. Boxes are in the Clermont lobby.
  • Click here to explore more ways to celebrate.
A smiling heart says, "Your Counselor Cares About You!"

Fitness Testing News Flash

Fitness Focus Website Screenshot

A brand new and exciting method of fitness testing is upon us!  Instead of the traditional pacer, push up, curl up, and flexibility tests that we’re required to measure three times throughout the school year, we are fortunate to utilize a new website called Focused Fitness with all new tests. As part of our Staying Active unit which will conclude at the end of March, students will be required to complete new fitness challenges while learning from home. No worries, we will guide students through the entire process during PE. Some ways to support your child are as follows: check out the website with your child, try out some challenges with them, ask them which fitness skill they want to improve on, and as always, continue to encourage full attendance during specials. Please email Mrs. Velishka at tvelishka@fcps.edu, Mr. Blakeman at tgblakeman@fcps.edu, or Mrs. Hammons at rkhammons@fcps.edu with any questions or concerns, and thanks for your support with our new Fitness Test!
