Thank you to those who joined us for last week's return to school presentation and/or PTA meeting. For those unable to make it, we are providing recordings below for both events, as well as the slides that were presented by the administration for return to school. We look forward to partnering with you for a safe return for our in-person students and continued success for our virtual students. We will be sharing additional information this weekend.

PTA Meeting
In this meeting we were jointed by guest presenters Emily Edwards and Melissa Rossman, our math and reading specialists, respectively. They presented on the value of the ST Math and Imagine Learning platforms. We encourage you to tune in for this great information.

On Tuesday, Freedom Hill begins the new bell schedule of 9:45-4:15 as per FCPS changes. Please ensure you have checked your email for your new class schedule(s) from your teacher(s). Thank you!

The following return to school dates were unanimously approved by the Fairfax County School Board:
To celebrate Black History Month, SCA is going to have an Eagles Read on Monday, February 22nd at 7:30PM that focuses on books by black authors or about black historical figures. Laura Gehl is virtually visiting Freedom Hillon Monday, March 1st for a prek-6th grade event. Hooray for Books! is providing a selection of books at special discounted price for this Read Across America Event! To order, fill out and mail or return the this form with a check (made to Freedom Hill Elementary School) by Friday, March 5th. Books should be available for pickup at FHES by March 19th and will include personalized bookplates signed by the author. Books should be available for pickup at FHES by March 19th. If you chose for your child to return to in-person instruction this year please email the Health Commitment Form to ssujoromero@fcps.edu or drop it off at the front office between 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM. It can also be completed online through ParentVue. This form is required before your child can enter the building.
