SCA Box Tops

Dear Hunt Valley Families and Staff,

There is a new digital way to turn in your Box Tops. First, you will have to download the Box Top app to your phone. Next, you will have to fill in the information requested. Lastly, you will have to scan your receipt for the box tops near the barcode. Simple enough you are all done. Detailed instructions are attached here at this link:

https://huntvalleyes.fcps.edu/activities/student-council

You are still allowed to turn the Box Tops in person if you prefer.

We also want to thank our Hunt Valley community for all the mask donations.  We received 174 masks and are researching where we will donate them to.

Thank you for all your support.

The SCA Treasurer

Reminder for Parents/Guardians about SIS ParentVUE

Please access PVUE periodically to check in on your student(s) attendance and to view progress reports at the end of each quarter.  If you have not yet created a PVUE account, please do so by reaching out to the school SIA to provide an activation code. Tech Support for Parents and Students

To support families who are working with their children during distance learning, FCPS has launched a new Parent Technology Help Desk. The help desk can be reached at 833-921-3277 (833-921-FCPS) and will be answered by staff members between 7 a.m. and 11 p.m., seven days a week.

Parents or guardians can call this number for basic tech support with parent accounts, help with FCPS student devices and technical assistance with other FCPS applications. If help desk staff members are unable to solve the issue, they will enter a support ticket on behalf of the parent/guardian to escalate the issue to the appropriate FCPS team. Parents who need help in a language other than English can inform the help desk staff when they call of their preferred language, and an interpreter will join in on the call.

FCPS has also set up Parent and Student Technology Support portal at https://itweb.fcps.edu/itsupport/ to allow older students and parents/guardians to request technology help directly. When a support request ticket is entered through the portal, it is auto-routed to the TSSpec at the appropriate site to expedite service.

First Chapter Friday is Press Start: Game Over, Super Rabbit Boy, written by Thomas Flintham.

Meanie King Viking has sent his robot army to spread No Fun across Animal Town!  He also stole the happiest and most fun animal ever!  Not to worry, Super Rabbit Boy is the greatest hero of all time.  He never gives up and will do anything to save the happy and fun Singing Dog.

Hear a Kid’s Book Review from Scholastic reader, Darren (age 7, second grade) here.  “It has a lot of action and it’s really funny.”  This is from the Scholastic Branches series and is great read for those who only want to play video games.  (I did read the whole book instead of just the first chapter.)
