Health Screening Commitment Form Required Prior to Student Returning In-Person
As many students return to in-person instruction, parents and caregivers will be asked to acknowledge a Health Screening Commitment form before their student(s) re-enter school buildings. This document confirms that a parent, caregiver, or guardian will complete a daily health screening and will keep their child/children home when they are ill.
The Health Commitment form can be submitted electronically through ParentVUE (PVUE) or you can fill out a hard copy Health Commitment Form, then scan and email it to dmcunningham@fcps.edu. If you need assistance, please contact the front office at 703-249-1400.

Requests for Changes
Virtual to In-Person
At this time, we have created a waiting list for students who want to return in person. Any requests for a student to change from virtual instruction to in-person instruction will be placed on the waitlist. We will review requests regularly and a decision will be made based on space and availability, according to social distancing guidelines and room capacity. Please keep in mind that in order to accommodate a request to change from virtual to in-person your child may be placed with a different teacher. If you would like to be placed on the wait list, please contact Dee Cunningham at dmcunningham@fcps.edu or by phone at 703-249-1400.
In-Person to Virtual
Any requests for a student to change from in-person instruction to virtual instruction will be honored. If you would like to change your original request, please contact Dee Cunningham at dmcunningham@fcps.edu or by phone at 703-249-1400.
LIBRARY PICK-UP & RETURNS
The next pick-up and return date is Monday, February 22 (1:00 – 4:00 p.m.) in the Kiss & Ride Lane by Door #7. Please have any book hold requests submitted by Sunday 2/14.
Please bring a piece of paper with your child’s first and last name to hold up. Please wear a mask, stay in your car, and hold up your sign. Books will be brought out to your car. When receiving your books, we will collect any books you’re returning.
Mystery Bags
If you have been participating in the Mystery Bag program (mostly Kindergarteners), I will assume that you want to continue receiving the bags unless I hear from you otherwise via email.
If you haven’t received them in the past and want to join up for January, please email me. 1st graders can also sign up if it would be easier for me to pick a selection of books for them if they’re having trouble making requests online.
Look forward to seeing you!

Tech Issues?
It has been reported there may be some student laptops receiving a message that says the Windows license is expiring. If a student laptop is having this issue, please complete the following to solve the problem:
- Go to the outside of any FCPS building. At Terra Centre, the kiss and ride lane is close enough to get a strong wifi signal while allowing you to remain in your vehicle.
- Turn the computer on and log in. The computer will need to be connected to the FCPS wifi. It should do this automatically.
- Let the computer load completely.
- Once logged in, press the Windows (start) icon at the bottom left of the screen. Select “Power”. Press “Restart”. Please note that pressing shut down and turning the laptop back on does not allow the computer to pull the updates it needs. You must press "restart" for the issue to become resolved.
- Repeat steps 2-4 two more times. This will have the computer restarting a total of three times and will allow it to pull all the necessary updates.
- Shut down the computer and go home. The “Windows will expire” notice should stop appearing.
If after trying this the problem continues, please submit a ticket at this link:

These wellness classes are focused on the adults in our community. We often give so much of ourselves that taking some time to reset and provide ourselves with some self-care is much needed.
These classes are free, but we do ask that you register (so we can send you the link) and complete our participation waiver.
