Fairfax Academy Families,
We are excited that in a few short weeks we will see some of our students back in our school buildings.
- 9th and 12th grade Academy students who selected in-person will be joining us for in-person instruction the week of March 2nd. (Virtual students and 10th and 11th grade students will remain virtual.)
- 10th and 11th grade Academy students who selected in-person will begin reporting to the building beginning on March 9th.
If you have specific questions about days, times, or shuttles please connect with your base school counselor or our Academy Counselor, Maria Martin (mlmartin2@fcps.edu).
A reminder that all students are required to submit the Health Screen Commitment Form as soon as possible. The form can be found online on the FCPS website in multiple languages. In addition, please complete the return to school paperwork. More details found below.
Before our students return to the building, we are excited to have them join us for our 3rd Annual Career Experience Expo on February 22 from 9am-2:30pm. Ms. Molek, with the assistance of our faculty, has secured some incredible guest speakers for this event. Any student who wishes to participate in this virtual event should complete the linked google form by Friday, February 22. If you have any questions, please contact Ms. Molek at ekmolek@fcps.edu.

A reminder that all paperwork must be submitted for any student returning for in-person instruction. A list of those items can be found on our website here: Academy Forms. If possible, all forms should be submitted prior to students returning. The Health Screening Commitment form can be completed in ParentVue. All other forms can be emailed to Mrs. Cate in the Academy Office, or mailed to the school to her attention. Please note that student drivers must also submit the Parking Tag application form along with a copy of their Driver’s License or Permit. Parking fees have been waived at this time. As we quickly approach our 3rd annual Career Experience Expo slated for Monday, February 22nd, we are happy to announce that students can easily sign-up through a brief Google Form this year!
Students have already begun signing-up, so please remind your student to submit their form as soon as possible. The deadline to sign-up is February 12th.
This fully VIRTUAL event will begin at 9:30am with our Keynote Speaker, David Zambrano, followed by three 45-minute workshop sessions led by industry professionals. This year, we are offering 24 interactive workshops correlated to all 11 of our Academy programs, career preparation, and workplace readiness skills.
During this conference format event, students will select the three workshops of their interest, and attend a different one during each of the designated 45-minute sessions.

It’s that time of year again where students get to select their academy classes! Please remind your student to let their counselors know if they are interested in taking a Fairfax Academy class next year. (Only a counselor can submit the academy registration). The on time registration deadline is March 12th. A reminder that all current students still need to submit a registration to secure a seat for next year.
Only students new to a program are required to audition.
All academy auditions will be virtual this year. Please look for specific details regarding audition requirements on our website beginning February 12th.
