Principal Appreciation Week!
Last week our Governor declared this week Virginia’s Principal Appreciation Week! We started off chalking the sidewalk, but we didn’t stop there!
To ensure Mr. Pietzman knows just how much his students appreciate him, the PTA coordinated with GBE teachers for student feedback--and NO surprise, it turns out they really, really appreciate him! We printed them out and presented them to him in a scrapbook! The below word star highlights some of the most common themes from the kids’ responses!
We made sure to let Mrs. Lorenzi and Mrs. Showker know how thankful we are for everything they do too.

Our loss is Cub Run Elementary School’s gain. Today was Mrs. Lorenzi’s last day as a GBE AP--she’ll be moving over to CRES as the new principal! She’s going to be amazing in her new role and instead of grieving our loss, let’s just send all our good vibes with her on her new adventure!

Spirit Wear Update!
We are still having trouble contacting a few Spirit Wear recipients from our sale in the fall… If you haven’t picked up your order yet, please reach out to our treasurer, Yulia Sanapuji (treasurer@gbepta.com). If we don’t hear from you by March 1, these orders will be considered donations to the PTA and sold at future events!
