Career Day

This year Kings Park ES will host a virtual career fair and we would love to have you help spark our students' interest by sharing your career and passions. We are asking for participants to film a short video (3-5min) to share about their career, interesting facts and experiences. Of course bonus points go to those who can make connections to FCPS portrait of a graduate skills; communicator, ethical and global citizen, collaborator, critical and creative thinker, and goal directed and resilient individual.

All videos will be made using Flipgrid and shared Pre-K-3. There will also be an additional opportunity for a virtual live Q&A session with students. Please indicate your desire to participate in one or both of these opportunities via this google form by Feb 10th. For more information, please contact our school counselor Fatima Samha at fsamha@fcps.edu.

Family Engagement

You are invited to join your child's teacher for a parent session focused on supporting students students during independent work time and resources available to support academic learning. Topics include the importance of independent work, digital citizenship and review of various tech tools and applications used to support learning.

Sessions will be held virtually after school on Wednesday, February 10th. Your child's teacher will share the specific time they will be hosting this opportunity.

Kiss and Ride

In the near future we will begin to welcome students back to Kings Park ES and want to ensure the safe arrival and departure of each child. Kings Park ES has an established area called the Kiss & Ride, which is designed as a safe place for adults in private vehicles to load and unload children. With the cooperation of all drivers the Kiss and Ride is able to provide an efficient and safe transfer of children.

If you are interested in using Kiss and Ride to drop off or pick up your child, please review the attached document and complete the embedded form
