Terra Centre Families,
We are off and running in the 3rd Quarter of the school year! It looks like we’ll be getting some wintry weather this weekend! In anticipation of that, our Grab and Go meals today will be for Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. Please see below for details.
Starting February 3rd, meal service at Terra Centre will transition to 7-day meal kits. Distribution will be on Wednesdays 8:00 – 12:30 in the Kiss & Ride lane. As a reminder, meals are free for ALL FCPS students and children under 18 years of age. Scroll down for more information.

Food Distribution Update – Plan for Possible Inclement Weather Feb. 1
In anticipation of possible inclement weather forecast for Monday, February 1, Fairfax County Public Schools will distribute additional meals this Thursday and Friday:
Thursday, January 28
- Grab & Go sites and bus routes will offer two days of meals to cover Thursday, January 28 and Friday, January 29.
Friday, January 29
- Grab & Go sites and bus routes will offer three days of meals to cover Saturday, January 30, Sunday, January 31, and Monday, February 1.
Terra Centre is Switching to 7-Day Meal Kits on Wednesday, 2/3
Terra Centre will now be offering Fairfax Meal Kits, containing seven (7) days of breakfast, lunch, afternoon snack and supper items packed in bulk.
Meal kits will be available for pick up every Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. in the Kiss & Ride lane at Terra Centre.
All meals are available at no-cost to FCPS students and children eighteen (18) years of age and under. Parents/caregivers may pick up for children and adults may purchase kits for $28.00.

Bell Schedule
Because we are not transporting students to school during the pause in our return to school plan, we are continuing to use the current bell schedule.
However, with the draft plan shared with the school board, we are scheduled to start the new bell schedule when Groups 1 – 4 return on February 16.
Terra Centre’s Bell Schedule will be 9:00 – 3:30 for all students beginning on February 16.

More information will be available soon regarding teacher preparation days. Students will be doing independent learning on teacher preparation days.
LIBRARY PICK-UP UPDATES
The next pick-up and return date is Monday, February 1 (1:00 – 4:00 p.m.) in the Kiss & Ride Lane.
Please bring a piece of paper with your child’s first and last name to hold up. Please wear a mask, stay in your car, and hold up your sign. Books will be brought out to your car. When receiving your books, we will collect any books you’re returning.
Mystery Bags
If you have been participating in the Mystery Bag program (mostly Kindergarteners), I will assume that you want to continue receiving the bags unless I hear from you otherwise via email.
If you haven’t received them in the past and want to join up for January, please email me. 1st graders can also sign up if it would be easier for me to pick a selection of books for them if they’re having trouble making requests online.

These wellness classes are focused on the adults in our community. We often give so much of ourselves that taking some time to reset and provide ourselves with some self-care is much needed.
We will be offering the following classes:

- Guided Meditation...February 22
These classes are free, but we do ask that you register (so we can send you the link) and complete our participation waiver.
