Celebrating Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Happy Martin Luther King, Jr. Day

From all of us at Aldrin Elementary School!

MLK

To celebrate the legacy of Dr. King, we are encouraging our Aldrin Community to share in a day of service and giving back. A day of service can come in many different forms—helping a neighbor rake leaves, cleaning up your neighborhood, calling friends to wish them a happy day, making a card for a military family or a front-line worker. You could also draw a picture and send it to a person living in a local nursing home. There are many ways to honor this special day and have fun doing it.

We would love to see picture(s) of you and your family as you find ways to celebrate all that Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. means to us.  As always, we’d like to see what you do today!  Snap a photo and e-mail it to your teacher with a short description.  It may show up on our Twitter feed or school website.
