Grade 5 students have been studying advertisements with a critical lens. They've analyzed the use of images, language and formatting as well as what it might mean to be offensive. Now they are preparing to create their own ad to "sell" an aspect of an ancient culture they have recently studied.
What's Happening at Mount Eagle
January 15, 2021
No School on Monday or Wednesday
All schools and offices will be closed on Monday (MLK Jr Holiday) and Wednesday (Inauguration Day). There will be no morning meeting or asynchronous work.
On Friday, instruction will end at 1:30pm as it does on the last day of each quarter. This time is for teachers to begin preparing for progress reports that will go home the following week.

Meal Pick-up for Next Week
There will be no meal pick-up on Monday or Wednesday. Families will get extra food today (Friday) and Tuesday, January 19. Regular pick-up will resume on Thursday, January 21.

Please share and encourage anyone exhibiting symptoms - or anyone who has been in close contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID - to get tested!
