Upcoming Parent Session: Supporting Positive Behavior at Home During Virtual Learning

You are invited to join the Kings Park Mental Health Team for a parent session focused on supporting positive behavior at home during virtual learning.

Topics will include improving the virtual learning space, helping students manage big feelings, practicing mindfulness, and self-care for parents.

You can choose from one of two sessions offered Thursday 1/21 from 12:00pm-12:30pm or Tuesday 1/26 from 4:00pm-4:30pm. We hope to see you there! Register at this link and you will receive an email from Blackboard Collaborate Support with the link to join on the day of the session.

Facilitators include Diana Lucio, School Psychologist, Katie Carroll, School Social Worker, Fatima Samha and Randy Scott, School Counselors.

Student Book Bag Distribution 

Kings Park staff has been busy creating book bags for students to provide the opportunity to have access to more books to read from home. Curbside pickup will be available for grade levels at the following days and times; 

Kindergarten: January 25th   10:00am – 11:30am and 1:30pm - 3:30pm

2nd Grade: January 25th 10:00am – 11:30am and 1:30pm - 3:30pm 

For families who were unable to pick up your child's book bags at an earlier date, you may come to Kings Park between 8:30am - 3:30pm to pick up Tuesday- Friday. When picking up your child's book bag, please use the buzzer at the front office. Please note that a face covering or mask is required when picking up materials or visiting KPES.
