Spectators Update

Great News! FCPS has been given the go ahead to allow limited spectators at indoor events held on FCPS campuses. Per the Governor's mandate that restricts spectators at indoor athletic events, we will need to limit attendance to 25 per game. Below outlines the timelines and the process we will use to institute this. A must read, should you have the opportunity to attend an event.

  •  Per FCPS, spectator attendance has been permitted for VARSITY ONLY HOME events. Attendance will be limited to 25 (home team) spectators for indoor sports and 2-spectators per athlete for outdoor events -- free of charge.

 General Guidelines

  • Per the Fairfax County Park Authority, there will be no spectators allowed at their pool facilities.
  • Due to facility occupancy restrictions, for the Track Meet on January 23rd, spectators will be limited to two guests per student-athlete.
  • Attendance will be allowed at HOME events only.
  • Coaches will be responsible for providing an updated list with the names of the 25 spectators per team. Names must be on this list to enter.
  • Spectators are asked to arrive at the school, no earlier than 10-15 minutes prior to scheduled start time. We cannot allow entrance into the gym until all previous game/event spectators have exited. If the weather isn't cooperative, you may want to wait in your cars.
  • As you enter the facility, you will be required to sign-in and take part in a Covid-19 screening, to include a temperature check.
  • Spectators will be directed to a specific section of the facility. There will be no concessions and outside food and drink is prohibited. (With the exception of water.)
  • All spectators must wear masks at all times! Spectators will also be expected to practice safe social distancing while on the school grounds. You may sit with members of your household and you must be six feet from spectators that are not living within your household.
  • At the conclusion of the game, spectators will need to exit the facility as directed immediately. This is to ensure that we can have a smooth transition between games and allow staff to follow FCPS and VHSL protocols.

Although we understand that this doesn't get us back to normal and allow for everyone who wants to attend an event to do so, we hope this is a step in that direction.  We remind everyone  that SPORTSMANSHIP is an expectation of those attending an event at Lake Braddock Secondary School. As members of Patriot District, Occoquan Region and the Virginia High School League we have high standards of sportsmanship is what we expect from those in attendance towards the players, fans and officials. We appreciate your positive support!
