Need Technology help?

We remind families that there are a variety of resources available for you to use to support you in fixing technology issues that do not require you to make an appointment to come into the school.  First, we have the technology support for families website available through FCPS which has video tutorials to help fix problems such as mics or cameras not working.  Second, our School Based Technology Specialist, Mrs. Jess Russell, has put together a technology assistance flowchart that walks you through step-by-step guides.  As you move through the flowchart, you will also communicate everything that you have already done so that our technology team can better support you should you need to make an appointment.

Specialist Spotlight

Bren Mar Park Artists have been doing  an amazing job with virtual art thusfar.  The whole school completed collage units before Winter Break.  Grades K/1 students learned how to use scissors safely while cutting basic shapes to make a dream house. Grades 2/3 learned how to use layering techniques to create an animal in its habitat.  Grades 4/5 looked at world architecture and designed their own building that fused different styles.  Multiage artists are continuing their alphabet projects and are spending each class making a project with that letter.  Now, we are starting some new drawing units and even a printmaking project for grades 4 and 5.

I really appreciate our parent support as we make art at home.  I have been encouraging students to use their supplies wisely and clean up their space.  This knowledge will be important as some students phase back into the building.  Thank you artists for being good citizens while making art!
