Dear Shrevewood Families,
Happy Winter Break! We wanted to give you a couple updates heading into the break about the phase-in plan Return to School Plan for FCPS. Monday, January 4th will be an asynchronous day for all grade levels, so that our teachers will have time to prep their classrooms for return in-person dates. Students should log into their virtual classroom for morning meeting and the rest of the day will be asynchronous learning. We will be switching to the new bell schedules on January 12th even if our Return to School dates are adjusted. Our new bell schedule for the school day will be from 9:45-4:15. This change is foundational to our future plans for return to school. FCPS will be monitoring conditions over the winter break and will provide updates when we return in January.
Thank you all for your support and partnership during this school year. We appreciate your feedback and collaboration as we navigate this year together. Ms. Holley and I would like to wish you all a happy holiday and we are hoping that 2021 will bring positivity and prosperity to our entire Shrevewood community.

The school office will be closed during the two week winter break December 21 - January 3. The office will reopen on Monday, January 4.

Monday, January 4th will be asynchronous school day for all students. Students need to login to their classrooms on January 4th.

Monday, January 11 asynchronous school day for all students. Students do not need to login to their classrooms on January 11. Independent work will be provided by classroom teachers.

Tuesday, January 5 - Friday, January 8 will be synchronous/virtual instruction for all students this includes our Preschool classroom and all classrooms K-6.
Effective January 12, Shrevewood will have a new bell schedule. Our school hours will be 9:45-4:15 for all students in grades Pre-K - 6th grade. Stay tuned for adjusted class schedules when we return from winter break.
Please join us in congratulating all of the wonderful Shrevewood employees who have been nominated for the FCPS Employee Awards. These Shrevewood staff members will be sent to Region 2 to compete with other employees from Region 2.

Hello Shrevewood Elementary School! My name is Nala Chehade and I am so excited to join the community as the new 5th grade teacher! I was born and raised in northern Virginia and attended Virginia Tech, where I earned degrees in International Studies and History. I also hold a certificate in teaching English as a foreign language and speak Arabic and Spanish. Outside of school, I enjoy practicing yoga, swimming, and baking. I’m looking forward to an awesome year together!
