Terra Centre Families,
Thank you for helping us celebrate and recognize the importance of inclusion through our spirit week last week. We have another spirit day coming up this Friday, December 18th. Our SCA Leadership Team is hosting a holiday headwear and winter whiteout spirit day!
We would like to give a huge thank you to the Terra Centre staff, families, and community for your generosity and giving spirit! We appreciate all our families who were able to visit the online book fair. Your purchases will help support our library collection and program!
The 6th grade and the TC Student Leadership Team are so grateful to our wonderful community for supporting TC Kids Care in December! We collected over 100 pairs of socks for ECHO and over 200 personal care items and non-perishable food items for a local school in need.
Ms. Klieber is also very appreciative of the many donations she received to support For the Love of Erick! She raised over $3400 to support Terra Centre students and families. Scroll down for a message from Ms. Klieber.
If you are still looking for ways to contribute this holiday season, Bonnie Brae Elementary is hosting a toy drive this week for Toys for Tots. It’s Thursday, December 17 from 2:00 – 4:00 pm. Scroll down for details.
As a reminder, if your family needs holiday assistance or support please contact our school social worker, Christina Marcone, at cmarcone@fcps.edu.
With the weather forecast for this week, please be on the look out for an update from FCPS. In anticipation of inclement weather, food service will distribute meals for both Tuesday and Wednesday tomorrow, December 15. Meal Kit sites that normally distribute on Wednesdays will distribute on Tuesday, December 15.
Please scroll down for additional updates, including some important Return to School updates from last week’s school board meeting and meal service updates for Winter Break.

The DRAFT proposal for return to school dates is below. This is based on metrics and is subject to change; however, we felt it important that you have these dates as a heads up.
Please note that we will move to a revised bell schedule with the start of Group 5 students. Our revised schedule will shift by 30 minutes and will be 9:10 a.m. – 3:55 p.m. This revised bell schedule will apply to all students, whether in person or virtual. Please note the starting date of the new bell schedule is subject to change along with start dates for in-person students.
All of this will be revisited on January 5th at the School Board meeting. We recognize that the constant change and evolution of decisions is exhausting and hope that this advanced warning is helpful.

Thank You from Ms. Klieber
Ms. Klieber started “For the Love of Erick” 4 years ago to honor her son’s kind and loving nature. She helps Terra Centre families and children to have a wonderful holiday! Below is a message from Ms. Klieber to the generous Terra Centre community.
A Message from Ms. Klieber:
Thank you to all the families who contributed to For the Love of Erick.
We raised $3400! Each child is receiving $100 in gifts, and each family is receiving a $100 Giant gift cards. There was $200 left over so that will be given to support any students in need for the rest of this year. Thank you for honoring my son and helping our students. You warmed my heart!
Happy Holidays!

Bonnie Brae Gives Back
On Thursday, December 17, the Bonnie Brae staff is inviting the community to participate in our first of many Bonne Brae Gives Back events. We are hosting a Toys for Tots drive thru from 2-4PM. They are welcoming students and families, who are able, to pick out a new and unwrapped toy to donate to Toys for Tots. They are in need of toys, to the tune of a 400% increase in requests for support this holiday season. Pick up a toy, and swing by Bonnie Brae on the 17th between 2-4PM to help our community. Fire trucks will be on site to help with the collection!
The Terra Centre Parent Teacher Association supports our school and community in so many ways! Click here for the PTA Website to see information about programs, upcoming events, membership, and more!
