Principal's Message - 12/12/20

Stone MS

Good Evening Stone Parents & Families,

I hope you were able to enjoy some of this beautiful weather this weekend, especially with this upcoming cold front. This week marks our last week before the winter holiday break. A reminder that on December 17 and December 18, Stone Middle School has our scheduled Catch Up Days. Per last week’s message, on these two days, students will attend each of their classes and attendance will be taken. No new work or assignments will be given. Students will be given extra time to work on and submit missing assignments and receive additional support from their teachers.

This week we honored five outstanding employees and are grateful for their contribution to Stone Middle School and the community. Please check out the winners in this brief video here. We congratulate each of them for their dedication and hard work.

Portrait of a Panther

Portrait of a Panther Winners for week of 12/5

As always, our students continue to amaze me with their persistence and resiliency during these tough times. I love being able to see them engage and participate in their classes.  These 13 Panthers did an amazing job contributing to class discussions, sharing their cameras and mics, and being overall helpful classmates.  This week’s Portrait of a Panther winners are: Helen Leon Arrolla, Reeyana Bhandani, Charlie Biggs, Anabella Cicale, Madison Emmerson, Josue Escobar Arevalo, Taylor Ford, Daniel Lee, Emon Nooristani, Rebecca Reed, Grace Ver Plank, and Suzana Walser.

Below you will find additional information about upcoming events this week. Again, as we continue during these difficult times, I wish each of you moments of peace and joy as we come together as a Stone family this holiday season.

Have a wonderful week,

Meredith Norris, Principal

Come drive-thru the bus loop to see some pretty lights and sights, and receive a special treat courtesy of the PTA. If you are able to, please bring an unwrapped toy or gift card (for children 16 and under) and/or a thank you note to one or all of your teachers.

Please consider supporting the PTSA with the donation of lights and other volunteer opportunities by signing up here. Please note: Due to Covid-19, all students and families must remain in their car at all times. Masks should be worn as well. We will update you if there is a need for this event to be rescheduled due to inclement weather and/or changing health conditions.
